See an ACL reconstruction in India by the ruler method. This method allows the surgeon to fix the graft precisely at its anatomical position or in other words as it was attached naturally before it tore. This might surprise you but most ACL reconstructions are not done in this precise manner. The result is that the patient suffers from many complications like lack of full bending, rotational instability, re tears, incomplete extension or straightening of the knee. The procedure is performed with the help of a TRUCOR ruler from Smith & Nephew. It allows the surgeon to mark the original attachments and drill the femoral tunnel in the centre of the original ACL. See this procedure performed by Dr.A.K.Venkatachalam.
