Joint preservation surgery? What is it? Check out www.jointpreservationsurgery.com. It might be a new concept. Orthopaedic surgeons like me are now excited in this new or rather old branch of orthopaedic surgery with new advances. Earlier and even now, it is also called “Adult reconstruction”.
Basically it consists of treating neglected fractures, degenerative conditions, deformities with the goal of preserving the joint and avoiding an Arthroplasty.
It needs experience with a wide range of surgical exposures across the board in the limbs. It doesn’t include spinal surgery to correct deformities.
I have created a new website to increase the awareness of Joint preservation in India. It is called www.jointpreservationsurgery.com.
